REAR BRAKE KEEPS GOING SOFT

Does anyone have this problem?

The rear brake keeps going soft, requiring bleeding. it usually occurs after going down a steep slope (leaving a ferry was the last).

It was bled by Ducati at WDW2004 and is now soft again

I think it's just a common thing that nobody has managed to successfulyl crack yet - and if they have they're usually not sure what they did!

It must be down to a design fault in either the components used or the way they are positioned on the bike.

I had mine serviced a month or two back, and in the 12 mile ride home from TecMoto both the back brake had gone soft *and* the clutch fluid had started to go black.

Not that I'm bothered - I hardly use the back brake and, as Shazaam says, the clutch fluid going black doesn't make any difference.

My back brake is next to useless, which as Antonye says, i'm not that bothered about as i hardly use it.

Was a bit concerned about the black clutch fluid thing, but if that's another 'normal' feature of the duke then so be it!!

Mine the same...my solution is to bleed it once a year about a day before the MOT...

I stuck new pads in and dot 6 fluid and works for me every time no matter how hard I break with it. had to order the fluid but demon tweeks do it.
