916 seat grill
Hi, I've just bought a corsa rear seat unit for my 916 BIP, where can i get some mesh for the rear, i've swapped the exhaust vents just need a couple more for the top. cheers andy.

You can get wire mesh from a number of places such as B&Q and i think even Halfords might be wrong on Halfords though, then using some tin snips cut to shape and affix with silicon. you can get mesh in different colours as well gold always looks good but if you can only get silver then its simple enough to spray it any colour you want.

I think Halfords do do a mesh, normally used in fibreglass repairs when building up with Isopon

B&Q will sell you some mesh. You can pick up various mesh sizes (bigger/smaller holes) and in different finishes too. I would go for the anodised alu stuff (can get it in silver or gold) as it won't rust like the steel mesh does as that is untreated. I think mine was a fiver for an A4 sized sheet.

Halfords also sell mesh too. They sell it in much bigger sheets for the drainpipe-exhaust brigade! You might be able to find something suitable there if B&Q don't have what you need.

For fixing I prefer a hot glue gun. Silicon takes a while to go off.
