748 Biposto Project
1997 748 Biposto. Some of you may know the history, but this is a road registered bike that I built up to a WSB replica for the track. I used it just 6 times and its been sat in my garage for nearly 2 years under a cover !
The bike has been featured in the Ducati Owners Club magazine and I have around £3000 of build receipts for motor/servicing/chassis set up etc work done by Louigi Moto. On track it had a really strong motor.
I have quite a bit of paperwork with it along with old MOT/tax discS etc.
I'm selling it pretty much as a rolling chassis with engine. In summary, as a project there are the following options;
1) Put some plastics on it and get it back on track. As its not an insurance write off (unlike most track bikes) you could also put a horn, indicator and number plate on it, get a daytime MOT and also use it on the road ! (no lights/speedo/indicators required) - I did this !
2) Restore it back to a road bike.
In addition to standard spec, it also has the following modifications;
ITG performance air filter
Louigi Moto EPROM chip
Later style discs with anodised carriers
Renthal race quick change sprocket carrier with Hard anodised sprocket and gold chain
Carbon airbox covers
Light alloy race front subframe
Braided brake hoses.
Black powder coated top yoke.
Polished black fibreglass swingarm protector
Alloy detachable number plate holder and number plate (if you want to take it on the road where I guarantee you will get some strange looks!)
It just needs a good tidy up, the fluids bleeding, the rearset assemblies putting back (I have all the bits).
Let me know if you need more info/pics.
£1995
Cheers
Nat
