Its Started on my 749
Picked her up in Jan..

Have been waiting for the weather to pick up, before I start the transformation.. got a few bits to add from my goodie box

Started with the powder coated pegs... what do you think... Couldn't justify paying £250+ for rearsets.. & the start of the carbon bits...

Can't tell from these pics if the finish is nice enough, how about anodising?
Anybody done that?

Yes, I've anodised quite a few hangars and footpegs without problem.
Just add some adjustable footpegs and you've got rearsets for a decent price!

I know to this so I wasn't aware anodising was an option..

I'm not 100% happy with the finish of the powder coating, it looks bumpy & not smooth as one would have expected.

I'm not sure if that what power coating does, or if it was a poor job....

Any idea's of where I could get adjustable pegs from??

I'll take some pics of the 748 hangars I've just done.

Add a pair of adjustable footpegs and some carbon heelguards and they look just as good as rearsets!

Ant, is there a per batch price? Or do you quote on a part by part basis?

I've got some Gilles rear sets which are a hideous gold colour, they need to be black!

It's done by volume but most parts can be done for around £20-£30.

I try and batch stuff up and do it all at once which helps keep the cost down, so if you don't mind waiting a bit longer it will be cheaper.

If the parts are already anodised, I'll need to get that taken off first, then polish the bare alu before re-anodising and colouring. It's not a big job but just takes some time and adds to the cost.

You need to be careful that parts with anything other than aluminium in them cannot be anodised, so things with steel inserts or brass bushings can't be done, as the anodising process just eats it away.
