Selling cars on eBay - advice please.

Around October time my company closed my local office. Since I have a global role and do all my work via phone, email and conference calls, there was really no need for me to go to the office anyway, so I'm now set up full time in my home office. As a result, I've got a Volvo C70 Convertible (that according to Glass' guide is worth somewhere in the region of £15K) that never gets used anymore. I only use it now for the occasional trip to the shops and once a week to go karate training. Last month I did 100 miles (yes, one hundred) in it. It's a nice car, but doing so little mileage in it I've got to think with my head, sell it and just get myself a cheapo runabout.

So, I'm thinking about lobbing it on eBay. Now, I've bought a few odds and ends from eBay, but never sold anything, so I'm unsure of the process. I don't need much advice about how to put the thing on eBay 'cos that's pretty clear from the eBay instructions. What I would appreciate are a few essential pointers from some of you eBay veterans about the things to watch out for when trying to sell high value items, 'cos if I do it, I want to minimise the chances of being messed about by tyre kickers or scammers.
