Open clutch covers...

Whilst on tour recently I bought a lovely titanium open clutch cover for my SS and was dead chuffed with the look and additional sound (well noise!). However I noticed yesterday that the springs holding the plates are going rusty.

At the risk of sounding a muppet have I missed something or is this normal? I know I can buy coloured pressure plates but dont what to do about the springs - anyone have any suggestions for me?

Yep - you need to buy stainless steel springs. You can get them off eBay, or a Ducati dealer or specialists like Nelly at Cornerspeed.

Just call Nelly, he does a spring, cap & bolt set in stainless steel...

Yep mine went brown after one shower, and when the bike started brown water is spun everywhere

Must get me some stainless ones

All depends if you like shiny bling bling bits on your bike.

If not you could always take them off, degrease them and give them a couple of coats of satin black paint .... £1.99 from the local car shop.

Think that's more the water/rust being generated on the plates
