 Forza Italia! Terrific display by Italy tonight to beat a very good German side! They shrugged off their rep for being boring and defensive, and really took the game to Germany, shading the first half. Although Germany were probably stronger in the second, the Italians came out fighting in extra time (no doubt spurred on by the Germans' legendary success at penalties  ), and hit the bar twice in the first few minutes.A great match, played overall in a very good spirit.  |
