Stupid questions regarding ordering stuff from Germany

I know some of you have done it for Duke bits so it made sense to ask here.

I'm in the process of building a road (pedal power) bike and have found a frame in Germany I would like to order.

Whats the score regarding the price shown...1199 Euros...and what I'll probably end up paying in total. Am I likely to get stung with any form of VAT (i assume not) or other taxes as it is delivered to me?

My understanding is that it should be plain sailing?

Any info would be appreciated.

You'll get charged tax in the country of origin, as it is within the EU.

Good imported within the EU do not get any extra duty (ie, UK VAT) imposed upon them.

So the price you see should be the price you pay.

You may get stung by your bank for charges and exchange rate on the £ to Euro. i have often acted for members here in making there payments for them in exchange for a cheque in £ being sent to my brothers address in the UK present exchange rate for Euro is about 1199 euro = 827.25 £ but check what your bank wil charge you for exchange and transfer of the funds or drop me U2U if i can help.
