O/T: Really cheap car insurance???

Mornin' all.

Off to buy a mates '93 Prelude on Saturday but can't find anyone that do me a reasonable quote, despite my advancing years...

Major problem is my three years NCB is all overseas (Luxembourg/Switzerland) which most companies seem to want nothing to do with.

The car's only worth about £800 to start with, so my best quote of £518 is taking the **** a bit.

Anyone know any reasonable companies that might not be so short-sighted???

Cheers,

Ali

Direct Line recognised my 7 years NCB from Oz on the pug.

Maybe give them a try?

Do you have a wife/girlfriend who does have UK NCB and on whose policy you are a named driver? When we expanded our fleet from one to two cars earlier this year, my insurance company gave Michael the same NCB I've got (max) whilst no-one else would give more than an introductory discount (he didn't have ANY NCB in his own name). A considerable saving in our case.
