Power commander - install

Anyone done one?

Mine arrived yesterday, looking at the bumpf looks straight forward, but was more interested in mappings etc, and how to do all that side of it.

I assume you can cable it in, and not do anything and it will leave the setup untouched for now?

Should be a very straighforward affair. You'll need to load a base map from the CD or their website that most closely reflects your bike setup. After that, you need to take it to dyno centre. John Hackett is your man.

It's off to John's on the 28th anyway, just interested to see how easy it is to setup and adjust etc.

You know I'm having a bad day, I'll load the slow map, red mist day, better load the monster map! etc etc

Only just saw this, and i know your away! Let jhp mount it for you on a nice carbon plate mounted on the offside.rather than sticking it to your battery!

Its quite interesting when its fitted connecting it to your usb and watching your bike revs and fuelling on the pc screen!

I downloaded what was the nearest map to mine, but it was very weak at the top rev range, according to john.

The only true way is to have it 'personalised' to your bike.
