AAARGHHH - Fluff in laquer - how to remove??

Bugg3r....

Just replaced a few decals on the tanks, decided to laquer them in. Applied laquer, quite happy with results until the dog ran in and brushed against the tank.

Now, short of shaving the dog (for the future) how would o remove the laquer(and fur) without going into the paint??

1500 grade wet & dry?

I've bought some Farecla G4 and G10 for the final polishing process, but wanted to ask before embarking on a possible new paint job for the tank.

Cheers
Jas
