Mood: Found a CR250. Let the bone braking begin
different crank case breather ?

I have just got myself a carbon under seat crank case breather expansion box (what a mouthful)

now this does away with the usual plastic item that sits behind the top cylinder, and I have had a look at some pictures of race bikes. And what im wandering is do I need to have a different crank case breather to attach the hose to ?

any racers out there who have had this part please let me know. cheers. K

Yes, you'll need a new breather tower, hoses and a reed valve for the airbox.

Be warned, you'll probably pay more for the other items you need than you did for the breather box itself!

Part numbers:

Crankcase breather tower - 257.2.003.1A
Hose (tower to breather box) - 876.1.064.2A
Hose (breather box to airbox) - 876.1.057.1A
Airbox reed valve - 593.1.019.2A

Hope that helps!

Neil.

P.S. STM and Vee-Two (Australia) both do Corse style breather towers that are significantly cheaper than the genuine Corse item.

P.P.S. If you need any other info just drop me a line.

No problem mate.

See attached, you'll get a better idea of how it all plumbs together.
