Paint Finish

I washed and polished the 999 for the first time the other week. While checking with an inspection lamp to see if I had missed any areas I noticed several streaks of darker red in the paintwork on the nose cone. Also the red is darker just around the outside of the side fairing blisters. The effects are almost invisible during daylight. Just wondering if other bikes are the same as mine

Maybe but I do not know if there is anything wrong with the finish. For all I know all red Ducatis may have the same effect. Please can someone have a look at there's with an inspection lamp and comment on there findings

Can't see anything on mine that look odd (04 749s)
I have now got the 05 fairing kit and i know thats see through when put up to the light!

If on yours you can only see the differences under a lamp and not in daylight does it really matter?

Maybe it will when I come to sell it!

This is the first new bike I have had in a very, very long time. I want to know that it is correct in all areas. Not having a lot of confidence with this bike at the moment as it is not running right. Couldn't get the bike back from Taz yesterday because it is still not right.

Why are you putting 05 fairing kit on an 04 bike?

Put the fairing on because the nose fairing is nicer without the vents and higher type screen also the side fairings on 05 are the same shape as the "R" models from last year.

PS Have updated frame to red and black wheels as per 05
