Rattler\'s quick Donny report......

A quick(ish) report of DD races 6 and 7 at Donny from a Rattler perspective.......

Pre Qualifying
- mood - effervescent
- plan - raise my game
- weather - Marti Pellow
- health - fine
- fatigued - somewhat
- approach - controlled aggression
- bike #21 - after Cornerspeed mods = sweeet!
- visor - clear
- vison - unclear
- action - get plan, execute on!!

Qualifying
- mood - ready!
- plan - got one
- riding - well
- pace - building
- Qualified 5th!!!! (top novice!!)
- Weather - downpoor = slippery
- Redgate - CRASHED!!!!
- Health - shaken and stirred, battered and bruised
- Bike 21 - down, but not out
- recovery van - dark and scary
- action - fix bike and get back out!!

Race 1
- mood - pensive
- health - been better
- repairs - many!!!
- scrutineered - passed
- plan - consolidate for a top ten finish
- approach - don't crash!!
- start - tentative
- conditions - tricky
- approach - tiptoe
- riding - carefully
- slippery - when wet!
- finish - 9th!! Best of year - sooo glad that's over!!
- battled - with Nick, nice one!!
- performance - satisfactory, given circumstances
- action, get food and painkillers!!

Race 2
- mood - apprehensive
- approach - don't bin her again!
- health - feeling old and aching
- plan - consolidate, top ten aim
- start - poor
- pace - caution and care
- like - iceskating
- finish - 13th, not ideal, but OKish
- overall - satisfactory

Summary
My best performance of the year also saw my first crash, bike 21 now looks like a racebike!!! Qualifying front of row 2 is great for me and something to build on.

My provisional table place is now 12th, on target for a planned top ten finish to the year - bring on Brands, I'm already ready!!!. I've targetted those I need to beat at Brands and Cadwell - bring it on!!

Dreadful weather, but superb DSC support - really fantastic, many thanx to all who supported in the rain, its much appreciated.

Fil and Ali - fantastic performances, Paul Payne - ouch!!.

To 4D, PeteB, Paul, Kelly and Karen - awesome repair job, many thanx for your assistance with getting #21 back out there.

The DSC camaraderie is just awesome.

The biggest result of the weekend for me may be winning a tenner off TP for handing him his arse in qualifying and race 1!! He saved himself £20 by avenging this by getting passed me in race 2 though. - bugga!!!

Whilst a tenner won't cover the bike repairs, it'll buy some very sweet tasting beer!!!! Fosters or Tooheys?

Wanna give me some more money at Brands big fella?

Tim

Great results and things are starting to come together. Let me know if you need anything sorting while you are away.

Well done mate - you did it when it counted!

As for Fosters or Tooheys ... I don't drink either of those dodgy beers! Although the stuff they export is different than the stuff they keep.

My report will be up later ...

Oh and I'll gladly take money off you at Brands - you got lucky
