Well I have to say approaching the weekend I was very very apprehensive. The thought of a wet Donny and being out in SOT's was not the most appealing prospect and by Wed I'd given up sleeping.
Trackside Friday, what a palaver getting in was, but safely ensconced in garage by teatime and feeling happier with a lovely bottle of chilled white wine kindly donated by Annette (thank you hun).
Sat morning was grey but not too wet and I was hoping for dry qualifying. Main aim to stay in one piece, I don't recall the next 10 mins that well due to nerves but I managed 4 laps as the track got wetter and wetter and came in. Phew thats over with! Last but one on the grid this time which surprised me.
Race 1 and it's raining steadily and the tracks sliiiiiiiiiiiiiippppppy man! Lights go out and off we go. Tiptoeing around the track for the next 6 laps and i'm on my own for the majority of it but last lap flag goes out and i'm thinking wheres Geoff ? Not long after that there he is - followed by a couple of others. Darn lapped again !

Come back in last again but safe and sound if a little wet ( tail chops and monsters eh!)
Race 2 and the tracks wet again -hey ho! I get a great start taking five I think (hard to tell by Redgate as visor had steamed up) lost 3 of the places by end of there I think but it was so slippy everyone was being very cautious and rightly so. Kept Mike behind me for a while but he got me out of Coppice (superior power thee knows

)
Last lap and i'm thinking wheres Geoff again, I'm going around each corner thinking now ? but no and as I head under the Dunlop for the last time i'm thinking "please don't lap me" Last corner and chequered flag out and i'm slapping Max's tank like i'd just won Motogp
Into the garage and i'm chuffed to bits, race1/2 complete, no mishaps and the best bit of all - I didn't get lapped

I then get told I wasn't last and poor Antoine was behind me. Even better
I've had a great 2 days and I'd like to say thanks to all who helped, polished, made tea, and cajoled me into getting out there. Thanks to Graeme for mechanical duties and making sure Max was up to scratch. More points methinks and a great boost to my confidence
