| Hartside accident
Anyone else up at Hartside cafe today? I arrived in the early afternoon, to find police blocking the road. I, and a dozen or so other bikers, were pulled over to one side to allow the Air Ambulance to lift an injured party from the roadside. (This was on practically the final bend before the cafe - Alston side).
Talk in the cafe was of a biker (a girl) who'd left the road and ended up in the grass. However, I've just heard on the local news of a head-on collision between two bikes in the same area - the smash leaving one (male) dead at the scene. Must surely have been the same incident. Anyone heard anything? |
