so how does it work?

obviously Geoff get the number one plate if hes racing but how do the others work ? do you get first refusal on your finishing place or is that only in moto gp etc?

I think it would be safe to assume that people will retain their numbers, unless they wish to change to one that is available. By the same token once we have a better handle on numbers then we may find that more numbers become available.

Lets sort this out at Cadwell, there are a few more important things to think about at the moment
