Exasperated with Ebay Been trying to sell my monster 750 on ebay as my wife reckons four Ducatis are enough for anyone, and I do need the space I suppose. Anyway, halfway through the week I get someone bidding on it,checked out their feedback,he'd bought nothing else but cheap designer wear and had a couple of really bad feedback messages,on looking around he was also bidding on other bikes at the same time, which didnt seem right, ebay's system was also telling me he was registered to another ebay therefore may not talk english. When I questioned him about it he got all bolshy and said he could buy as many ducati's as he liked.I thought about this for a bit and decided he wasn't a serious bidder and cancelled his bid.About half an hour after this, my listing was ended with the buy it now option,by a newly registered bidder, probably the same guy being ****ed off at me,he then gave two different names in his email ,his email address ended .hu,which turns out to be hungary, and the contact address, which I'm glad I checked, had an unusual postcode, turns out to be the unique address of the alliance and leicester commercial bank, new bidder then gets arsey when I ask him for a UK landline number saying I'm too pushy and dosnt want to buy my bike. All of this has been reported to ebay and the bank. This is all very exasperating up until now but whats made it all the more so is that I cant post it as a non paying bidder until at least a week is up and I cant get Ebay to respond to ANY sort of complaint. They really need some sort of priority system or telephone helpline for stuff like this. I think this sort of crap is depressingly common on Ebay and I'll be a lot more guarded in the future, but this guy was targetting ducati's for some reason,so keep your wits about you if your selling on ebay at the moment. ...Oh and if anyone wants a monster 750dark,then do get in touch. |
