Hard but fair

So hard was the racing yesterday I didnt get up until after 11 this morning because I was so cream crackered, when I phoned my boss he graciously accepted my offer of booking a days leave

Butch, I really enjoyed our battle in race one, I must have forced a pass on you about a dozen times, even though you thought there was no gap and every time you fought back and got me! When I got past you in the final hairpin of the final lap I knew it would be tight trying to beat you to the line but was truly outdragged by superior firepower (and lighter weight ), but did you have to make it by just 0.02" mate, I was gutted, and totally cream crackered best battle I've had all year sir, I hope I wasn't too hard in my overtaking mate!?!
Same goes for young Doogy boy in race 2!! No matter how many times i "duffed you up" in the corners you just kept bouncing back for more until I finally lost the tow down the back straight and was too far behind to dive round you into the gooseneck (then I nearly got caught by Butch again!). Well done mate, go give 'em hell on that 620 next year
Kev (Senna3) rode an absolute blinder this weekend, not only was I harbouring thoughts of another close tussle with his 675 in both races but even had delusions of grandour about beating him and jumping his place in the final championship as he was only 1 point ahead of me going into the weekend! Not only was he able to beat me fair and square but he was miles ahead in both races, well done Kev.
Shame we won't be fighting it out again next year guys as we'll be in different races, but my baby 583 deserves a rest from frightening some of you 620/675 riders so I'll try to put some road miles on her over winter and, who knows, maybe a new set of Diablo's for next season My first set are fine in the centre, just a bit molten around the edges. To think that we were taking the pee out of bikes with coloured tyres at Box & Bury this summer and I was running at Cadwell with a pair of BLUE Diablo's
Well done to all those that made it out on track this year, it was an excellent experience, thank you for being able to share it with you, the best biking experience I've ever had. Thank you, the DD MT for making it happen, JamColy for helping prep the bike (whatever you decide to do next year you know I'm here buddy) and Bradders for the transport (I hope it hasn't put you off helping next year mate) and for being such a great guy to talk to, but especially the rest of the DSC for your help, support, understanding and friendship.
Monica and I will be appearing on a ride out somewhere near you over the winter

I'm getting tears welling up at all these 'Oscar' speeches

Seriously Paul - you have had a great season, improving all the time. I cant wait to bimble the Tango Queen out with you & Monica sometime this winter

Doug was so lit up after the first race - it was his sole ambition in the second race to get past you!

Hopefully see you Sunday

Great stuff Paul, you must have balls to match your belly to get out there and race

I didn't realise it was so exciting outside the top 3 - I must have a play next season

Nice write up though chap.

Take it easy

Great report Paul, i deffo need to get some race craft, and yes giving you 2" of tarmac WAS a mistake!
Best bit was all the marshalls giving us the thumbs up at the end, made me feel like Rossi!
We are going to fit some brakes to your bike Paul and show you how to use them,I have never seen anyone carry so much cornerspeed, well done mate.
For someone to achive what you have this year Paul is truely remarkable ,you ARE a race god!!!!!
