Summary
Not knowing Cadwell very well and missing any practice there meant my expectations were low - great race in race 1 with Phil, but "charging" into bends led to poor corner and exit speed. Race 2 battle with Chris was great too, he block passed me into the hairpin late on and I got him back on the straight - he then went grass tracking for a while!!! Great tussle though.
A 7th and 9th were fair and should have been enough to get me to 6th in the final standings, but Ian's 2 great 2nds meant he leap-frogged me into 6th - great work Ian.
A final placing of 7th met my pre-season objectives of a top ten finish, and pleased me as my early season form was very poor.
Highlights of Cadwell for me, were;
Battles with Phil and Chris.
Dom getting a decent result - at last!!
Phil getting third in the champs (close to second too)- fablus!
Nick showing some great style too - nice one b'stard
So for next year?
There's quite a difference between a sorted 620 and a standard 620 - where's Nelly's number
Gotta get faster, quicker, fitter, stronger!!!
Bring it on!!!!!
