The clock\'s ticking...

Alright, alright.... i can't contain myself any longer....

Just wanted to say i'm full of excitement after sticking a deposit on a luverly 996 bip. Get my license back in just over a month (totting up - don't start me on that debate) and although i can honestly say i can count on one finger the number of times i have wrapped my legs round a 996 let alone ridden one i've never been so excited at the prospect of owning a new bike !!!

.... right i've gone and said it. Now i can get back to lurking until i can provide a full first ride report

... and thanks to you all for your kind words and helpful opinions on the 748 vs 996/998 debate - i think i made the right choice in the end so cheers to you all and pints of Turbo Shandy all round (happy to provide an explanation on the contents of that particular beverage upon request).

Oooh, nothing like new toys!

I'll have a turbo shandy (I think!) what's in it mate?

Good luck to both of you with your new bikes. Rick, you need to get yourself to jerez at the end of January and really try it out

depends how much you want doing
are we talking polished down pipes or just a spit and shine ?
either way leave the bike with me for a few days and a few test rides should do the trick

That's a good choice greenie.
The 996bip is a great bike in original form, and if you've got enough money left there's loads you can do to spec it up.

enjoy.

If you've only just got your license back, first on the list should be cruise control and a radar detector!

Happy Christmas

Phil

I'm talking the works!

I'm sure we could work a few rides into the deal as well if you wanted to try her out.

Sorry, this is TP at Phillc's place.
