Father in-law has just picked up his new toy

Have already put my name down on the booking form
V8 TURBO ESPRIT - SPECIAL EDITION This is one of the cars they put all the toy's on and kept at the factory in Norfolk for press days.
Very very fast

Nice! is that an Elan sheepishly peeking out of the garage? Used to work for an Audio company and the very eccentric owner got one of them when they first come out in the late 80s and yes they were very fast 4. something seconds to 60 in the 80s was something else. It looks a very nice example, bet hes a happy chappy.

Yes, that is an Elan - well spotted, only comes out on Sundays, picks the papaers up, polish's it and puts away again, and he has the nerve to tell me im a sad git for doing the same with my bikes

Lovely car. Was lucky enough to go on the press launch of the esprit V8 and take one round the track/road - feckin quick !!! (they had to detune the earlier ones coz they kept snapping the prop shafts..)

The elise had just finished development at the time too, and got taken round by Jonathan Palmer - eeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkk!!!

My car was in the right colour too

This one is a 98 / R plate and has been electronically restricted to 155 MPH, need to get that off straight away

You like it ? ..give me a break..I was only 23 !!! Darent walk through sainsburys with it one..the barcode scanners would go mental..
