If it's real, which it probably isn't, it at least needs underseat pipes.

No offence meant to all you blind, utterly tasteless, clinically insane 749/999 owners but yes it is a vast improvement.

Not quite upto 996 standards, but not bad, would consider buying one.

p.s. to those of you that are lucky enough not to know me, don't take offence at my comments, i just like winding my mates with 999 style bikes up.

Absolutely minging, like the last bird at the disco, who you normally would'nt touch with a barge pole, but it's been a while, and noone will find out.
Looks like a complete compromise, more like a triumph than a ducati at the front and single sided swinger and twin-pipes are seriously dated.

Wake up and smell the coffee.

The whole point of the design is to provoke a response - good or bad.
Like BDG decries the 999 owners - at least in a few years time he'll be able to remember the bike - godawful ugly to some but beautiful to others.

Lloyds building is another example - I can remember exactly what it looks like - bloody awful and imho a disaster in engineering design - but I can remember it.

Smelt the coffee but turned out to be S**T

This is not a press release or early sneak preview of what the bike will be, its just mcn's GUESS. a moked up computer image, it must be a short week for news.

I wonder what the point is though. With Ducati's racing heritage what class can a 1200 sportsbike be used in?

It looks like the early Trumpet Daytona 600

I can't think why Ducati would totally redesign the 999, surely they'll just fit a big engine into it???
