Un-Disclosed, a docufilm about discovering Australia on the DesertX Rally

Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), 24 January 2025 – Two Ducati DesertX Rally, two riders, Andrea Rossi and Nick Selleck, and the wonders of the wildest and most unknown Australia. A journey in stages, almost a treasure hunt, to discover fiery deserts and pristine mountains, including wades, night bivouacs and helicopter transfers. An exciting, unforgettable adventure, told through breathtaking images to all off-road travel enthusiasts.

The Un-Disclosed project celebrates the adventurous spirit, the challenge of the rider and the bike to the wilderness of the Australian outback. An experience that everyone can now live through the docufilm available from today Desert X Rally Un-Disclosed.

Australian Nick Selleck was already known to fans as the protagonist of the incredible challenge immortalised in the documentary Mission: Un-Finkeable. Riding a stock DesertX, with only the auxiliary fuel tank as an accessory, Nick rode the 460 km of the legendary Finke, the off-road route that connects Alice Springs to the Aputula community, completing the round trip in a single day and without topping up with fuel.

One year later, that story starts again, with the Un-Disclosed project. On his first trip to Australia, Andrea was fascinated by the nature and space ‘down under’, as well as the potential, even in the most demanding off-road terrain, of the DesertX Rally. Equipped with a Termignoni exhaust, engine guards and Pirelli Scorpion Rally tyres, the off-road Ducati shines with its performance and the ease with which it tackles the most complicated situations, thanks to the professional wheels and suspension fitted as standard on this model.

Andrea Rossi, Multistrada and DesertX Product Sponsor, commented on his experience: “When Nick proposed this adventure I didn't hesitate, knowing that I would live a unique experience. And I can't imagine a better bike than the DesertX Rally to experience such a fascinating adventure in a wild and unspoilt land. However, I couldn't imagine that I would find myself in the middle of nowhere, after landing in a small plane on a dirt runway, or that we would transport the bikes by helicopter to a remote area to continue the journey. The DesertX Rally has been incredible, always reliable and exciting in all conditions, from the most twisty asphalts to the most challenging mule tracks to the deepest fords.”

Nick Selleck, Ducati Product Specialist and DRE Adventure Academy Instructor. “Riding with Andrea was fantastic. Firstly, because I got to let him experience the real Australia, secondly because I had so much fun jumping, drifting and playing with the incredible bike that is the DesertX Rally. A memorable experience!”

On the official Ducati.com website, clients will be able to access the new configurator, to discover all DesertX accessories, and book a test ride.
