Post Expectation is high at Jerez de la Frontera for the final round of the 2025 WorldSBK season: Bulega wants to fight for the title until the end

World Superbike | 2025 | R12 | Jerez (Spain) | Thursday 16 October 2025

Expectation is high at Jerez de la Frontera for the final round of the 2025 WorldSBK season: Bulega wants to fight for the title until the end, Bautista aims to defend his third place.

It is the final round of the 2025 WorldSBK season, and both the Riders' and Manufacturers' titles will be up for grabs at the Circuito de Jerez Angel Nieto.

The Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team (crowned Team World Champion for the fourth consecutive time in Portugal last Sunday) is already at work in Jerez de la Frontera, where the first free practice sessions for the Pirelli Spanish Round will start tomorrow at 10.35 am.

Nicoḷ Bulega wants to prolong the fight for the World Championship title until the very end. The Italian rider needs to make up 39 points on Razgatliuglu (BMW).

Alvaro Bautista , on the other hand, is aiming for third place and has to defend an 8-point lead over Locatelli (Yamaha) in light of Danilo Petrucci's (Ducati) withdrawal, who has been declared unfit for the final round.
As for the Manufacturers' title, Ducati starts the final weekend with a 3-point lead over BMW.

Nicoḷ Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati #11)
"We know it will be a challenging mission, and for this reason, the only thing we can do is try to win on Saturday to postpone Toprak's victory until Sunday and maybe try to put some pressure on him. However, I am pleased to race on this circuit and, in any case, the goal is to finish the season in the best possible way."

Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati #19)
"It will be exciting to race the final round of the season here in Jerez, in front of so many fans, friends and, of course, my family, who will be there as always to give me lots of energy. It will also be the last round with the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team, a second family for me, with whom we have shared five exciting years and achieved great results. I want to finish well to give them further satisfaction before I start thinking about the new adventure that awaits me."
