Aruba.it Racing - Ducati dominates the Saturday race at Aragon. Bulega claims his 16th win of the season, with Lecuona completing a 13th successive 1-2 for the team. A twentieth consecutive WorldSBK victory, his sixteenth of the season and thirtieth of his career. This was the result of Saturday's action at Aragon for Nicoḷ Bulega, who led Race 1 of the Aragon Round from the first to the last lap after setting a blistering 1'36.836 in Superpole.
The Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team's celebrations were once again rounded off, for the thirteenth consecutive time, by Iker Lecuona, who started from second position and stayed close to his team-mate for all 18 laps.
Nicoḷ Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati #11) “I'm happy with what we achieved today and, to be honest, the lap time in qualifying was truly incredible. I had an extraordinary feeling in the race, and for that I thank the team, who once again did a great job.” Iker Lecuona (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati #7) “It was a good Saturday. I tried to push to keep up with Nicoḷ, but he had a better pace than me. We're close, and the goal is always the same: to take that extra small step that allows me to stay out front.”
