Nearly ready for Snetterton

How come there aren't more hours in the day or better still more days to a weekend,
Still trying to get the new van and the DD bike ready for Snetterton next weekend. The job list for each is slowly getting shorter, but somethings just seem to take longer than expected.

The Bike is just about finished, the PC3 USB is now wired in and fitted to the back of the new dash panel I made this morning, the original Ignition switch is now gone to be replaced with a ON/OFF switch fitted to the new Dash. Also added to the bike today is a direct powered Transponder, which leaves just the lap timer to fit back on the bike. Then its just a matter of tidying up the wiring loom with some harness tape and some cable ties.

Nothing that will get in the way of a Dyno run if I get time to book it in, just need to finish the van so I can get it there.
I doubt if i'll have the van just as I want it for Snetterton but its not going to be far off.

I need to get the awning bolted on which will have to be fitted to the offside of the van as the sliding door prevents me fitting it on the nearside as I did with the old van. The basic storage compartments in the back are in place but there's still some work to do on them, I als need to sort out some lighting in the back of the van which means I have to locate the wiring for the interior light that is already present and tap into it.

I could also do with a few more tie down points, then there's getting the radio/CD/USB/SD Card player fitted and also a good tidy up of the tools etc that I have been using to do the work and for now the ramp will have to lay on the floor while I decide what to do about it, maybe a new folding one will be required in the long run.

Not me, I have enough wheels, which reminds me I must get the spare rear back that I lent Dallas.
Still haven't heard from Dean about the front, maybe he doesn't like yellow

Know where your coming from Dean, just had to replace the van so thats wiped out my funds and today I found out that the CIS who I am currently insured with will not insure me for the new van.
9 years with them claim free, currently 3 months in to my policy for Fully comp cover for a 6 cylinder VW LT35 2400cc Turbo Diesel and they tell me they can't insure me in a 2.8TDi Fiat Ducato as its to powerful. So now need to find more money for some insurance, which I need to sort and pay for by the weekend.

Best I get listing a few more bits and pieces on Ebay, at least the money from the old van can go towards helping to pay for the insurance on the new one

Kev
Try Gladiator insurance for the van if you have no luck with cis.
I and many others used them when we used to run our own vans for work.

Very good cover and cheaper than most if not all.

I may check them out, I've had a look at a couple of online places and had 3 quotes between £224 and £249 for TPF&T I will follow up on them tomorrow as well as seeing how much I can expect back from CIS, Can't see me renewing my car insurance with CIS either when it become due either as they obviously don't want my business anymore.

Phil
was that my whole arse or vice versa
