15 volts is too much it should be around 13.5 max at the battery, this should be pretty constant regardless of engine revs once above tickover.

If it's a 98 bike it won't have a Ducati decal on the...

Haynes manual ?

Just got a Haynes manual and it says the 916 has 97 bhp and the 748 has 98 bhp, this doesn't sound right to me.
I know the 748 has a higher peek rpm though.

Yes I use parafin aswell, I have a renthal setup so it's easy to pop the chain off and hang it in one of those plastic containers you get your chinese in.
I use Wurth dry lube so the chain looks nice...

I've just realised my odometer is clocking Kilometers but the speedo is showing Miles, what the f***.
Is there a reason/solution for this.

The good side of this is that the bikes done a lot less...

Well I did about 130 miles today following my mate on his 929 blade.

Should I hear much noise other than the clutch, induction and exhaust, i'm paranoid about the bloody valvetrain/rockers.

I suppose with the lights it's form over function the jap bikes tend to have very ugly lights that look too big compared to ours.

Needed new cush drives went to Ducati Leeds (Shipley) and they charged nearly £57 for five, is that right.

Mine's a 98 bip with 14,000 on it, the service book has two services in it the first on 28/2/03 at 7729 the last on15/6/04 at 13235 so it didn't have a service for the first four years but it's done...
