Always sad to hear of a bikers death and I hope his family or relatives do not grieve too long. We always get out there with a little bit of risk involved and sometimes we forget that the whipsnake is always waiting somewhere to strike us. This should reinforce our determination to drive super defensively and within the limits of the situation at hand....dark, wet streets, limited escape routes, heavy cross traffic, lots of animals around, etc. I was flinging my old A-7 Kawasaki around some very deserted road outside of Carmel California one night and came face to butt with a big bull in the road. The brakes on the Kawa were not the best, but I still avoided corn holing the monster. Taught me a lot about overdriving the limits.
Again, sad to hear of the death and sorry to hear Lily had it happen so close to her place.
