It's a nerve thing. Know somebody with something VERY similar in their feet. They tried some goop from the states which seemed to work for a while, but they have now been referred to the consultant quack. Will let you know if I hear anymore, but it does sound very very similar

HB.... like I have said there is no infection, cuts, bruises, looks identical to my other thumb (you know what I mean) I just get pain from where the nail appears to grow from. If I press the area I feel no real discomfort, it just comes and goes

Well I have just had a long conversation with Scottyb, albeit in a foreign language.... you southern lot wouldn't have had a clue

From the sounds of it I am not going to kick the bucket by any means, or non of my extremeties are going to drop off, could be something, could be nothing.

Looks like myself and Lily are off up to the North North!!! at some point next year, cheers ScottyB
