I haven't got a garage, but I have a shed, with concrete base and a ground anchor, and as I have a brick wall around garden (around shed ish) they said that was fine...

Ditto Melnie

No garage, but bike alarmed and locked, in a shed with padlock, behind a 7ft brick wall, only access via 7ft tall padlocked gate, which can only be accessed by moving the alarmed car that is parked right up close to that!

Insurance Co. seemd happy with that.

And me too Uncle P. Just moved to N Wales from Cambs and got charged £38 by Riders Choice for change of address to a lower risk area! I told them I would not be renewing my policy with them.

i can walk to my old house in about 2 mins, so how the hell can they say i am in a higher risk area, rang them today and they wont budge on the charge, (£33 for higher risk & £20 admin) told them i would be looking elswhere come renewal time....insurance companies same old story, when you ring them for a quote they are all yes sir , no sir, soon as you have a problem and they have your money, they talk to you like your a piece of ****...

I have no garage...My bike lives in my kitchen. AND it can be a struggle, especially when cream crackered to take it in "backward" along a 3ft wide corridor with a radiator down one side and a bannister down the other!
Never the less I do it!...Bennetts charge me £480 TPFT...with an Excess of £200....If It is stolen outside my house, the excess increases by £100.
If I want to come in and have a cuppa before giving him a bath I am told that I need to bring it in to save increasing the excess if it is stolen from outside my property!
It's a joke!
