I have been trying to get our original 1961 3.8 E-type roadster up and running this weekend, but it has been stood in our garage for some years now without any attention.

I've got it running etc, and most items seem fine, but the last of the original fuel in the tank has gone, and it just does'nt like unleaded etc.
Where can I get decent lead replacement fuel in the guildford area.
And I mean decent , not this thinned down stuff at 99.9% of fuel stations sell.
I want to keep it as original as possible, but will I need to get it converted to proper green stuff, or is there another option.
any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Robin, you have FAR too many toys that make me jealous!

The e-type was the car that my first car was styled after (Datsun 260Z) and I've always been a fan.

Having said that, I will probably buy a 260Z in the next year or so in Oz and have a man I know work on it in his spare time over the next few years so when I eventually go home it will be one awesome beastie!

Sorry I can't help you with your fuel, but I'm going to put a 2UZ-FE engine in mine. (Toyota/Lexus 4.3L quad cam alloy V8 )
