and if you really want to do it properly, make sure you whip the rockers out & polish them with a nice abrasive tool!

Ah, gaskets - thats one thing Al remembered to check when ordering his BB kit

He wanted me to ask - has anyone else completely stripped their engine down???

Not yet..... keep seeing gravel flying past the oil sighting window so I'm not going to either!

I was considering a complete strip down, but Tony Brancato assures me that the loud knocking from the front cylinder is due to the short piston skirt, not the valves punching their way through the piston crown.....
