Don't mean to sound elitist but I can afford for someone else to cook my breakfast for me and I have budgetted accordingly.

It looks like at least 2 others are of the same view, one of which is Dickie. Come forward now, don't be shy!

I don't think there's anything worse than needing to be wide awake and focused for a race meeting, than having to "rough it" in the back of a van or a tent. I know most of you probably have this down to a fine art, but I'd rather fork out the extra 30-40 quid for a B&B and get a good night's sleep in the warm and dry

That's pretty much why I'm camping. I'm under no illusions that it'll be any cheaper (once I've bought a tent, 2 sleeping bags, 2 sleeping mats, etc, etc, etc.....) but not being at the circuit wouldn't seem right. If I had a bit more wedge then I'd hire a motorhome and have some trackside luxury, but a decent size tent should do the job nicely.

Ali,

For the cost of 2 sleeping mats you can get a cheap airbed and small genny thing that runs off the car cigarette lighter to pump it up, far far comfier ...
