I keep having a similar fear. My dad has been riding bikes for 40 odd years and still rides a bike to work most days. He has been riding big old touring bikes and has finally decided that he wants something sporty (at 65
)
Problem is he has not ridden a sports bike for about 25 years and even then they were nothign compared to todays bikes and I am terrified as I really dont think he has any comprehension of the power and performance of even the smallest current sportsbike.
Mum actually mentioned the other day that he quite liked the look of the fireblade
