Trojan horse virus

My p.c has become very slow and will not open some web links. When I scan using the AVG anti virus software it says that "Trojan horse Downloader.lstbar.4.AG" has been detected but it won't fix it.
Has anyone else come across this virus and how is it fixed?

Thanks

i've had a couple of those but norton usually picks them up
try the usual suspects

ad-aware
spyware doctor
webroot spy sweeper
hijack this

might be worth going into the registry and looking in there to delete it

Col,

Have a look here http://forum.grisoft.cz/freeforum/index.php?0.

It 's the AVG forum and has some good info on it.

Webroot Spysweeper will remove this one - my software has picked it up more than once, among others

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I tried most, if not all of the virus removers. I now have no virus showing when I run AVG BUT I do still have the problem. This being that it will not let me access certain weblinks. When I click on the link I get no downloading bar at the bottom of the screen. it either hangs or eventually come back to the same webpage. For example I can't access my U2U's. It will allow me into "Control panel/options" but not into "U2U Instant messager".
Sorry to bore but I'm stuck and getting grief from the kids.
