Bit of a long shot but are the spring plates ok and in the correct position that hold the pads in the calipers?

The pads should not move too much normally but if they or the calipers have become worn then it could be happening?

Have you tried raising the front end on a paddock stand and spinning the whell to produce movement then applying the brake?
Or applying the brake then trying to turn the wheel?
YOu need to get mucky if you want to sort it yourself

Are you near anyone else on here that might have a look with you, I am in North Yorks, where you at?

Its all pie in the sky unless you can get soemone to look at it and possibly ride it to see if it is the norm.

Failing that get louder cans and drown out the noise :P :P :P
