| Welcome to riding a Duke in the heat ! My '98 748 SPS copes with temperatures into the low 40's provided that I am out and moving at speed. As soon as I stop ( traffic, toll booth tc etc the emp rapidlly moves from a normal 80 degres to 100 at which point the fan kicks in Once at this point, however, if still in traffic it will hit 110 degress and as you have found out, the combination of engine heat and that from the exhausts soon becomes intolerable. The trick is to keep on the move   |
