Assuming you have a wireless network and both computers can connect to it and assuming you are running Windows of some description ...

1. you need to find out the ip address of each machine ... to do this "start" ... "run" ... "cmd" ... then in the dos window box type IPCONFIG and press return. Do this on both machines. Record the IP Address of both - probably 192.168.1.2 or similar 4 digit number

2. Go into both machines and click on "My Computer". On the drives you want to view on each machine, right click on the drive icon (C Drive for example) and click "Sharing and Security". Change these properties to share the drive and contents with others.

3. On each computer, click My Computer ... Tools .. .Map a network drive. Choose a letter and use the following format for a path. \\192.168.2.1\C$ or similar. Obviously use the IP address of the other computer you want to access.

That's it. Whenever you want to access files on the other computer, click my computer and click the new drive letter you just mapped to.

**** NOTE **** If you have wireless network with no security features, this procedure could open up your data to others that could potentially access your wireless network - like your neighbour - if they knew how.
