Interestingly the Building Regs (which are statutory instruments) have nothing to say about the location of fire alarm call points. Instead it refers to BS5839 part2 which does indeed quote the 30m figure you mentioned. |

Working in a church I just paced out the exit distance from the most furthest point - approx 25M.
What
(don't forget the door sizes for the disabled exit routes)
Also, exit route shouldn't be past a boiler (?)
