just been outside to have a closer look at my bike re: the clearance issues etc and it seems that if they do raise the bars by 1" then:
a) the top of my fingers will be awfully close to the edge of the screen when on lock (don't know how far away when not on lock 'cos i didn't want to move the bars and set the alarm off!)
b) the throttle switch gubbins will need to be shifted to avoid fouling the screen
c) my hands or forearms will be in the way of the mirrors
mmmmm......am i correct?
