You need a analogue to digital converter i think. I got a box from QVC called an ADS Tech (
www.adstech.com) which allows me to connect any analogue source to the USB connector on my pc. Cost about £30. I've used it to make CD's of some old audio cassettes but as i don't have a DVD writer i haven't tried it the way you want. Can't see why it wouldn't work though.
Ah, of course your video needs to have some kind of "out"connector on it. Mine doesn't cos its a £29 Tesco special
