| Bl00dy communications companies! I changed my O2 account from monthly contract to pay as you go last July (After 5 years on a contract without getting a new phone every year...I must have made them a fortune). They said they would bill me up to September, so I cancelled my Direct Debit at the start of October. They promptly requested a further payment which bounced. Got a really ****ty letter saying they'd take legal action if I didn't pay (well, it was £16.47, so there was a lot at stake). After about three hours on the phone (put on hold, cut off, transferred, cut off, put on hold etc, etc), I finally got hold of a bloke who confirmed they had forgotten to turn off my contract, and said it was all sorted. Didn't hear anything else until I got a letter from a debt-collection agency last week (11 month's later). D1ckheads say they'll take me to court if I don't pay...suits me fine...GITS!
