Talk to Paul Payne - he has already done this with an SS.
I have done it all with the monster.

You dont need to 'drill out' for larger engine bolts - you sleeve the engine - comes courtesy of B&Q for about £7 per length.

Means you can go back to 583 if you ever want to.

Note: if you are using any 620 engine with key recognition, you will need all the parts from that bike, unless you are using a different computer.

Hope this is of help?

Alan

The old SSs come with a fule pump as standard, but it's not as strong as the ie pump. The good news is that it's exactly the same size. The tank has a return spiggot on the bottom. Geoff reconned they just swapped the ie pump into the new tank and that was it, but I may be mistaken as the whole codeine/red wine thing is reaking havoc with my memory...

Ali

Plot thickening as we speak ?

I did wonder what the buzzing was when I turned the ignition on

Can't see a problem with that junk low pressure (probably around 0.4Bar) pump inside tank and replace with a High pressure (probably around 3.0Bar) pump. Then its just a matter of finding somewhere to mount the pressure regulator

Well done Eric. And everyone is being tremendously helpful, aren't they? Don't believe that red wine BS of Ali's though. His memory is goddam perfect. He may just be a tad reluctant to share is vast knowledge because he's worried about you being up his chuff next season

You realise the 'old' pilot struggled to stop it from crashing all the time - you sure you can handle it?
