Point taken Darren, however I think I'm pretty sorted on the suspension front.

My 944cc kit I think is a useful addition over standard (although, I've still never ridden a std 900ss to compare) and I couldnt see the point of any more engine work unless the gasses were going to be able to get out pronto

+ my old headers looked awful as well.

Of course - once the headers are fitted it means a trip to a nice Dyno shop - could be interesting !!!

Cheers - Frank

Frank, talk to Chris Bushell, he fitted a 'nest of vipers' set up to his old 900ss and had before and after dyno runs as I recall.

You'll need more than a new exhaust to keep up with the twinspark mate.

Hmmm, you've got me thinking about our '94 900SS.
It's got a BORA zorst conversion and freeflow airfilter, but it goes flat at about 8 1/2 - 9,000 like it's trying to suck more juice rather than running out of cam. I'd have thought there would be a bit more in it.
Opinions please blokes.

Oh, I've not had the carbs apart so don't know what jets are in there, but Baines did the conversion so you'd expect the jetting to be right.

Ains.

I'd of thought Carbs and especially in the long inlet manifolds were the "weak-links" in a system with a Bora conversion - but you might need a dyno run to confirm it.

John, this was just a follow up thread to a users request for info.

Heres' how mine turned out - apart from the sodding paint falling off:

Looks good Frank-the paint ALWAYS falls off-best to satin polish them or spray them with Sperex.
