Dave ,if its any concilation I had a 8mm socket drop into my bell mouth after having the belts changed by a local dealer, when the bike went in for a full service 3000 miles later the mechanic not the same firm , found the said socket still in the inlet port. Lucky maybe . Take a look you to may be lucky. 4D

Providing you haven't opened the throttles, it'll be sat on top of the butterfly......

take injector off. look into port. dont turn engine over,have you looked in the body.
