The tanks should all interchange, but the fuel pump connections are different on the later models (post 1999 - I think?).

The later tanks use 2 push-fit fuel union connectors (within the fuel pump that mounts in the bottom of the tank), whereas the earlier ones use a banjo type jubilee clip jobee.

The good news is that the pumps are iterchangeable too.

So dependant upon what you are looking to achieve, your 996R fuel pump will fit into any tank, but as these are a pain to swap, I'd suggest you get a tank with fuel pump included that has the later type puch fit connectors.

Most tanks on ebay seem to be the later type anyway, but always worth checking. I understand that the earlier pumps can be modified to take the later connectors, but I think that this is an expensive option.
