Thx Chris, I wish I could say righty ho I will go and do it!! I haven't a clue what you did with the scart lead. I have the Phillips sender. It allows two items to be transmitted by either channel one or channely two. Before the sky box was fitted it was connected to the video. I had no problems changing channels, so it seem correct in what you say about the sky remote
concerning the problem of not being able to view while the telly is in standby mode, I need idiot proof destructions that a 5 year old could follow

How right you are with the signal problem, just having a metal lamp at the side of the receiver caused all kinds of interference. If the wife ever puts the microwave on while watching, it wipes the picture & sound out completely
