4 years ago my car insurance company took the **** and wanted to charge me £1200 a year, I sold the £15k car and went out armed with £1200 and bought a 1993 Volvo 850. I ran it for 3 years and put 45000 more miles on it with nothing more than servicing and 4 tyres. I then sold it to go back to the expensive car.....the expensive car lasted 2 months till I sold it and went and bought a 1999 Volvo S70 for £3000.
So what I am saying in my roundabout way is buy an old Volvo I have never had such cheap comfy motoring, only downside is the 30-35 mpg but there is nearly 0 depreciation
