Ah well ya see they do that so you have to spend another £100 or more on a DP 749 specific stand.
The 'proper' 749/999 stand has little rubber cups that fit under the chain adjusters.They do work very well.
The abba stand is good,but only lifts the back end up,so you will need to use your front stand for wheel removal.
Never use a front stand on its own,...no matter how well you think you have it chocked up.
On my '03 999,I used an old DP stand for the 851/888.I just swapped the hooks for some Motrax rubber cups.Worked for me.
